Billing and Insurance Policies

The policy of the office is to require payment at the time of service by check, cash or credit card. Most patients are required by Insurance Contract to pay a co-payment at the time of service. Patients are requested to notify the office in case of insurance changes.

Insurance Coverage

Dr. Woods is a participating provider with the following insurance companies.

• Blue Cross, Blue Shield
• Medicaid, Medicare
• Bluegrass Family Health
• CHA, CIGNA
• Humana
• United Healthcare
• Aetna
• Benefit Aministrators System
• Most other private insurance companies *

* Inquire in your in-network insurance booklet for their list of providers. We participate with many smaller insurance plans. If we do not participate with your insurance plan, ask them to contract us.

If you have questions regarding billing, please call the office during normal business hours for referral to the billing service.

Medicare Patients

We will bill Medicare for you. We will also bill secondary insurance for you. All co-payments or deductibles are due and payable at the time service is provided.

Medicaid Patients

All medicaid patients must provide a current, valid medicaid card before being seen.

Surgery Fees

All co-pays, deductibles and payments for non-covered surgical procedures are due prior to your surgery. Prior authorization may be required by your carrier.

Non-covered Services

Any care not paid for by your existing insurance coverage will require payment in full at the time services are provided or upon notice of insurance claim denial.
